Sharing Projects.
I was very suprised how different my project was from everyone else's. All of the website and lesson variations gave me wonderful ideas, but I hope mine wasn't too different. Regardless, I really do think students would enjoy doing something similar. Writing the poem itself took awhile, as did adjusting the audio (I used several programs to make the audio louder). I hope that everyone could hear it okay. Jenn has already posted on my project in the previous post and she seemed to be able to hear it, which was exciting. Overall, I think the outcome of my project went well. One thing Jenn mentioned that I just wanted to clarify... the paintings of individuals were all closeups of individuals within one painting that I showed in the beginning and end of the project. I thought that would capture each person's perspective more. Originally I had wanted to have the whole poem at the end as well, and perhaps I should have. Anyways, thanks for all the wonderful ideas to everyone, some of you I will be talking to while student teaching, if not, this class has been a lot of fun... Good luck in the future!!

I thought your project was very creative; if I were a High School student, I would definitely get into something like that. What you and Dawn did with poetry was great...
I was shocked with how cool your poetry presentation was. I loved what you did; it was brilliant! I DO believe that a High School studnet would connect with a project like this, maybe even get them into "scary" poetry.
Your presentation itself was very good, also. There were no problems with your audio (which you seemed pretty concerned about) and the movie quality was good as well. It was great that you had different voices for each of the characters in the picture!
I'm happy that you decided to do something like this--I had no idea how creative your project was going to be! I hope you continue to do things like this becuase that movie was very stimulating. Congrats'.
Chrissy - your project was a delight. I am sorry for you that it was at the tail end, especially so because it was the absence of speakers that caused you to have to wait so long! But mostly I am sorry that after all of your time and work, the presentation was likely forced to be much briefer than originally planned. You presented something so creative and interesting, and it was a nice change since there were others' projects which had more similar formats (not to say that any were similar though!). I find it very interesting that you decided to have family members lend their voices to the depth of sound. What a great idea! It was clear that you put so much time into this project, and composing your own poem was a wonderful idea.
Have a great holiday & break!
